Hey, we'll take it, and with a band like them, who have been putting out great vibes and touring for the better part of the last 20 years, we'd love to see them LIVE. Speaking of which, they play the Stone Pony Summer Stage with Flipturn on July 26th! You can bet that there will be plenty of Jetty heads at that one!

The problem with that is The Black Keys have been so damn good at what they do, and they're about to drop another album called Ohio Players. Yeah, they're going somewhere. Catch them at South by Southwest where they will be performing as well as premiering their new documentary This is a film about The Black Keys! And here's a bonus bit, This Is Nowhere was co-written by Beck who also contributed to the album's lead single Beautiful People (Stay High)!

¡El álbum debut de The Last Dinner Party finalmente está aquí! Aunque lo tenían completamente terminado antes del lanzamiento de su primer sencillo Nothing Matters en abril de 2023, la banda todavía tenía mucho que demostrar. Su marca y energía en los shows en vivo se mantienen con creces, y la vocalista principal Abigail Morris lo expresa perfectamente en este extracto de una sesión de preguntas y respuestas con The Luna Collective :

Creo que hay dos cosas para esa pregunta. Uno, que es lo que queremos conseguir para nosotros en el escenario. Y luego otro, que es como queremos que se sienta la gente.

Ducks Ltd. está a aproximadamente un mes de lanzar su nuevo álbum, Harm's Way . Train Full of Gasoline se basa en un desastre de la vida real en el que una serie de pequeños errores se combinaron para provocar una catástrofe ( el desastre ferroviario de Lac Megantic en Quebec). Tom Mcgreevy ha contado que la canción trata sobre patrones autodestructivos y sobre cómo asegurarse de no dejar que se acumulen. ¡Mcgreevy y su compañero de banda Evan Lewis estarán fuera de casa este año representando a su ciudad natal de Toronto!

Ahora, su primer largometraje desde 2019 saldrá el próximo mes con Jimmy Chauveau ( Ascot Royals ) a cargo de las tareas vocales principales. Ari Picker es quizás nuestra historia Draw Your Own Line más apropiada (y favorita) dentro de la serie Music Monday. Después de estudiar en Berklee College of Music, formó Lost in the Trees y lanzó álbumes de 2007 a 2014 que tuvieron éxito. Luego esencialmente dejó la música, construyó una casa en Pittsboro (Carolina del Norte), se casó y formó una familia. Picker pasó de no saber realmente cómo construir una casa a iniciar un negocio de construcción. También dirige un pequeño estudio genial llamado Goth Construction . En 2018, regresó a la escena musical bajo el sobrenombre de Dante High . Fue entonces cuando nos presentaron su música y presentamos a Green Swamp . Un avance rápido hasta la era COVID y Picker lanzó Dante High II , pero mucha gente no lo escuchó ya que acaba de llegar a los grandes servicios de transmisión este otoño (~ 2 años después). Entonces, si bien esta música no es exactamente nueva, lo es para muchos y nos encanta. ¡Mira el vídeo de Deeper Love !

¡ El lunes de música de esta semana es muy de Nueva Jersey! Sí, somos una marca de Jersey de principio a fin y estamos muy orgullosos del estado donde operamos y al que llamamos hogar. Ingrese a Real Estate , una banda de Jersey que lanzará su sexto LP el próximo febrero. El nuevo sencillo, Water Underground , está basado en The Adventures of Pete & Pete (famoso por Nickelodeon). El vídeo (abajo) presenta a Danny Tamberelli y Michael C. Maronna, quienes protagonizaron lo que se considera el mejor programa infantil de todos los tiempos. ¡Tanto el video como el programa de televisión fueron filmados en Garden State! ¡Puede ver a Real Estate de gira por todo Estados Unidos en marzo, abril y mayo!
